Public Health England has released a ground breaking new mental health campaign called Every Mind Matters which is aimed at adults. The campaign encourages adults to be more aware of their mental health and helps them to discover simple steps to look after their mental health and wellbeing. There are many things that can be done to protect their mental health by identifying issues before they get worse, just as they would do with their physical health and not waiting until they are struggling.
Supported by a range of organisations, celebrities, and big brands, Every Mind Matters launched on 7 October with a short film on TV and in the media. The campaign offers a range of useful resources to help spot the signs of common mental health issues, gives practical self-care tips and importantly, explains when to seek further support. It also has a free NHS-approved online tool which will help adults to build an action plan to deal with stress and anxiety, boost their mood, improve their sleep and help them feel more in control.
It is a great resource for supporting the mental wellbeing of staff in the workplace and can be accessed on their website - Your Mind Plan
